I noticed that when trying to find pipes for my sewer, couldn't really find any. Had to find a lot of stuff and crop it out and insert in photo. But overall like how everything came together and think its a good but not where i would like it to be.

Maze Design Assignment(1)

Diego Holguin Maze Design Assignment(1)

Story
The main character, Brasko, has finally escaped from the notorious prison Rikers island. Brasko has been wrongfully sentenced of murdering his best friend Rafael, where he strongly believes he was set up. During his sentence  Brasko has obtained a knife and has been scraping and digging through one of his cell walls for the past 10 years. Thereafter, Brasko eventually digs his way to a sewer system, where the player must guide Brasko out to freedom.

My intentions are to use this as the wall to the sewer system.

My intentions are to use this as the ground to where Brasko walks on.




These last two photos are to be used the endpoint of the maze, while the other one is be used on dead ends. 





This is going to be the wall behind where the main character is starting at.

Game Building Assignment (2)

This is a rough draft of a human headquarters during the day. I haven't exactly put in the details of the race on the building, but this is the general theme for the headquarters. I found it a little difficult to make out the details for my roof. Another thing i ran into was how to make my font sink into the building more. Besides that, i think this is my best piece yet. Put in a lot of work into it ( 3 hours ) and think its a good image to start out with in my game.

This is my base structure of my extended Village Base. I decided to put my lightsource above the house in the middle.


This is my Shadow and Light Source breakdown of the Village Base. I tried to make sure the light source was conveyed accurately throughout the building. 



This is my final draft. I tried messing around with the gradients for my coloring. I choose to mess around with these because i had a number of different material and felt this would help me make my object come to life.

Wk05 Logo Design Final Phase

Some things i upgraded was the fonts i used along with the changing a few features of the village. This is my first video that i mad successfully and although it may not be perfect, its a reference point for me. For the logo, i went with the design of the wings but brought a arrow to convey the feeling of battle and then fit in my title along the circle. I wanted to make my text wrap the lower perimeters but did not know how to but thought the logo came out pretty good.

Wk05 Logo Design Concept Phase


My research process is trying to get back on track from my animation failure. I tried to redirect my attention to the village theme. I started researching a good title screen i found one. I really like the village theme but wondered where i could put the title. Then i found some fonts that went well with the medieval theme. Then i played around with some of the thumbnails and choose #8. I just really like how the top part of #8 but included some of #4 as well. Then i made a draft and now am just looking for some feedback.  I then found some drafts on an cursor as well as a logo. I really like how the logo wings look and think it goes well with the theme freedom my game tries to convey.
